Engineers-in-Action Speaker Series & Events
The Â鶹AV Engineers-in-Action Speaker Series & Events feature professionals from a broad range of engineering backgrounds. The goal of the speaker series & events are to enhance your professional development and career education through showcasing the variety of career paths followed by successful engineers (often alumni) and to provide relevant information about specific industries and current engineering issues. In the past, the Speaker Series has welcomed vice-presidents, senior engineering professionals, consultants, chief administrative officers and CEOs. We also regularly host networking events where you can meet one on one with alumni and engineering professionals.

Â鶹AV Techfair
Currently boasting the title of the largest on-campus career fair, the Â鶹AV Technology Career Fair (Â鶹AV TechFair), is a collaborative effort between the Engineering Career Centre (ECC), the Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS) and the Computer Science Student Society (CSUS). First inaugurated in 2000, the TechFair provides one of the most sought-after platforms to connect Â鶹AV students in engineering, computer science and physical sciences with top employers for the purpose networking and exploring both internship and full-time career opportunities.

Company Info Sessions
A component of On-Campus Recruitment, some companies will have representatives speak to students about their organization and their recruitment plans. These presentations usually take place in a classroom in the Engineering Complex, at the Faculty Club, or at other Career Centres. This is an excellent way for students to get insight on a company’s expectations before applying for a job and to learn more about the organization’s culture, goals and job profiles. Engineering Mock Interviews
Imagine training for an interview with the actual company you want to work with. The Engineering Mock Interview Sessions take place in September and January and offer students the chance to practice their interview skills and receive first-hand feedback from industry recruiters and engineering managers.
