To highlight the importance we give to emerging research, CIRM does not discriminate between established researchers, junior researchers, and students. To become a member, all researchers — from Montreal or elsewhere — have to produce original research and accept to work in an open-minded, collaborative, and interdisciplinary fashion.
CIRM asks for its members to indulge in a wide distribution of their work and knowledge, in order to insure that their research contributes to the development of Montreal.
The work of each member is tied to one or more of our six action-research axes:

You want to contribute to CIRM’s activities? As stipulated in our bylaws and regulations, please send a message to assunta.fiorita [at] mcgill.ca (Assunta Fiorita), administrative supervisor, with your application including the following:
- A letter of intent describing: a)Â your recent, current, and future research projects; b) the action-research axis or axes that you would like to contribute to; c)Â the type of membership requested;
- An up-to-date resume;
- A photograph (digital format, royalty-free).
Graduate students must also include a letter of recommendation from their research advisor.
Your application will be evaluated by CIRM’s Director and Executive Committee.
