Aliens @ Â鶹AV? Extraterrestrial life expert discusses possibility
Aliens will be the topic of conversation today at Â鶹AV. Dr Seth Shostak, senior astronomer at SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Institute, will discuss the probability of finding intelligent life elsewhere in the universe.
Shostak, an expert in radio astronomy research, has published more than 50 papers and contributed to six books about life in the universe. He lectures on astronomy and other subjects at the California Academy of Sciences and has been a Distinguished Speaker for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The mission of the SETI Institute is to explore, understand and explain the origin, nature and prevalence of life in the universe.
