McINTYRE ELECTRICAL SHUTDOWN

McINTYRE ELECTRICAL SHUTDOWN - MARCH 18th-21st

Please be advised that a major electrical shutdown is being scheduled for the McIntyre building from Friday March 18th, 5:30pm to Monday, March 21st, 11:30 am.

This shutdown is required to replace the entire electrical entrance to the building. In order to complete the work, the electrical and emergency panels will require a shutdown however electrical power (120V-220V) will be provided by a generator.  During this time the emergency panel will only be worked on for a period of 4 hours, during which no emergency backup power will be available.  Should a power failure occur during this time, the emergency power will be switched back on within a delay of approximately 15 minutes.

As a result of the electrical shutdown, all ventilation and heating systems will also be down except in the Animal Research Centre.

We are advising all personnel and users to vacate the building as of Friday 5:30pm until Monday, March 21st, 11:30am.

PLEASE TAKE NECESSARY ACTION TO PROTECT YOUR EQUIPMENT AND EXPERIMENTS.  ALL CHEMICALS MUST BE STORED SECURELY BENEATH FUMEHOODS IN THEIR PROPER STORAGE COMPARTMENTS.
