Published: 25 September 2006

The Centre held a workshop on "Terminology and Property Models in the 21st Century" on September 21 and 22, 2006. Property in its various forms was examined from jurilinguistic and comparative perspectives.

The main objective of the workshop was to examine terminological and linguistic questions pertaining to property models in the 21st century. This workshop carries forth an ongoing collaboration with the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique (CNRS-CECOJI, Paris).

The workshop also aimed to stimulate reflection on the future of Canadian private law in a bilingual and bijuridical setting, while also developing exchanges between different legal systems, as well as between Canadian and foreign universities. Moreover, such a reflection should help improve and develop pedagogical tools for transsystemic teaching.
