Since 2014 Mrs. Heike Birlenbach holds the position of Vice President Sales Europe Lufthansa Group Airlines. As of next year, 2017, she will assume the role of Vice President Sales EMEA Lufthansa Group Airlines. In this position Birlenbach will not only be responsible for all sales and commercial activities in Europe but also in the Middle East and Africa. With this extended responsibility she will lead the newly merged sales area, EMEA, which, as of 2017 will combine the two former sales areas – Europe and Africa/Middle East.

 Jens Bischof has been appointed as managing director of SunExpress, a Deutsche Lufthansa/Turkish Airlines joint venture, with effect from January 1, 2017.

He holds a degree of business administration (Dipl. Betriebswirt) from the University of Applied Sciences (AKAD) in Rendsburg and a master’s degree in Management from Â鶹AV in Montreal, Canada.

Jean-François Papillon: I have been a Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Manager with the Roux Papillon Blais team at BMO Nesbitt Burns for 15 years. I have a civil engineering background and hold an MBA from Â鶹AV. I earned the CFA designation in 2005. I have used hedge funds for approximately eight years. The reason is simple: they represent a diversification tool with little correlation to the other investment categories in my portfolio. I was seeking to reduce the overall volatility of my portfolio without compromising its performance.

Joanne Liu has treated patients in the most dangerous parts of the globe as a Médecins Sans Frontières doctor. Now, as MSF’s international president, she is holding the world’s leaders to account for the way they handle medical crises.

The body of a six-year-old Syrian refugee is on the cover of every newspaper arrayed in the lobby of the Montreal restaurant where Dr. Joanne Liu, international president of Médecins Sans Frontières, has just arrived.

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of H. Arnold Steinberg, Â鶹AV Chancellor Emeritus. Mr. Steinberg died suddenly this morning in Montreal. He was 82 years old.
... A lifelong Montrealer, Arnold graduated from Â鶹AV with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1954. His education was only the beginning of his deep relationship to Â鶹AV.

Lors d’un séjour humanitaire en Haïti en 2010 pour combattre l’épidémie de choléra après le séisme, le Dr Abdo Shabah a constaté à quel point le manque d’accès à l’internet compliquait la gestion de l’information sur le terrain. Les données concernant les patients et leurs besoins étaient enregistrées et transmises sur des papiers imbibés de chlore. Les cartes des lieux transformés par le tremblement de terre et la réorganisation du terrain étaient mises à jour à la main.
