Dr. Maryam Oskoui, Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, has been appointed as the Division Director of Pediatric Neurology for a 5-year term.
Dr. Emmett Francoeur, Executive Associate Chair (Partnerships and Network) and Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, is the recipient of the 2020 recipient of the Association des Pédiatres du Québec’s Prix Letondal.

The Department of Pediatrics would like to introduce our newest members, Dr. Stanley Hum and Dr. Bradley Osterman.
Dr. Robert Stanley Hum was appointed Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics. Dr. Hum is transitioning to be a pediatric hospitalist and child protection pediatrician, coming from Columbia University Medical center where he was an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, practicing pediatric critical care for the past 12 years. Dr Hum’s training has taken him to Toronto, Massachusetts, Vancouver and New Jersey.

Dr. Ilana Bank, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at 鶹AV and Director of the Montreal Children's Hospital Institute for Pediatric Simulation, was awarded the 2020 Certificate of Merit from the Canadian Association for Medical Education (CAME). The CAME Certificate of Merit Award recognizes, promotes, and rewards faculty committed to medical education in Canadian medical schools.

Dr. Estelle Chétrit, Faculty Lecturer in the Department of Pediatrics, was recently appointed Assistant Dean, MDCM 鶹AV in the Faculty of Medicine. Congratulations!
Dr. Chétrit is the third consecutive Departmental member (Dr. Saleem Razack, Professor, Dr. Anna Sant’Anna, Associate Professor) to hold this important post that plays a vital role in shaping the composition of medical school assuring merit, fairness, diversity and inclusion.

I completed medical school at 鶹AV and my residency in General Pediatrics at UBC. I subsequently worked as a Clinical Associate on the Oncology / BMT ward at BC Children’s Hospital for 2 years.
The Department of Pediatrics would like to introduce our newest Tenure Track PhD recruit ٰ.Aparna Suvrathan, Assistant Professor.
Dr. Suvrathan has a joint appointment in Pediatrics and Neurology/Neurosurgery. Her home division in Pediatrics will be Pediatric Neurology and her lab is situated at the Centre for Research in the Neurosciences at the MGH site of the MUHC.
The Department of Pediatric is pleased to announce that ٰ.Earl Rubin, Associate Professor, has been appointed Division Director of Infectious Diseases, starting May 1, 2018.
Dr. Rubin is well known to our Departmental and hospital community. He completed training and became certified in three disciplines at 鶹AV (pediatrics, infectious diseases and microbiology) and has spent his entire academic career here. Dr. Rubin is a widely recognized, highly valued, and well respected clinician and educator.
