Professor Brian Manker teaches Undergraduate, Master's, Graduate Diploma, Artist's Diploma and Doctoral students in Cello performance. He is dedicated to his students and to the art of teaching and passing on his love for music. Students cannot help but speak of his generosity in all things — time, talent, and even, on one occasion, his instrument.

Trained as a bassoon player, Francoise Henri (MMus’98) has made it her mission to fill the lives of vulnerable people with music, and the pandemic isn’t slowing her down. Henri is the general and artistic director of the , better known as La SAMS. La SAMS was founded in 2009 with the goal of bringing classical music to hospitals, long-term care facilities and nursing homes across Quebec.
A generous $2-million gift from the Azrieli Foundation to 鶹AV and Université de Montréal (UdeM) has established a joint residency for high-level pianists that specialize in accompanying singers and instrumentalists.

Awarded solely on the basis of academic merit, the Fellowship is a twelve-month stipend set at $24,000 for a current Doctoral Candidate pursuing a dissertationat a North American university.
It is difficult to imagine the musical landscape without Boris Brott. Through his tireless work, unending passion, and inspiring leadership, he has impacted the lives of countless musicians and audiences around the world.
Mr. Brott was at home in a concert hall, and we are pleased that he shared so many evenings in Pollack Hall with the 鶹AV Chamber Orchestra (now the Orchestre Classique de Montréal) as well as our own 鶹AV Symphony Orchestra and Opera 鶹AV.
