Â鶹AV wins big at Retail Innovation Challenge
Hosted by the Bensadoun School of Retail Management, the first-ever Retail Innovation Challenge concluded on June 21 with a Â鶹AV MMA student bringing home the top prize.
Bringing together 80 teams from 20 universities across Canada, the event challenged students to aid the economic recovery of small and medium businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. With a focus on the food sector, the event drew four companies from the restaurant and grocery industries.
Â鶹AV performed well in the finals, with the grand prize going to a team comprised of five Queen’s University and Â鶹AV Master’s students, including Divya Jain (²Ñ²Ñ´¡â€™20).
Â鶹AV team Business Model Streamers also took home the prize for the best undergraduate presentation.
Student leads Julie Laroche (MMA’20) and Olivia Fata (BCom’21) were involved in organizing the event and writing the cases.
