An Air Traffic Management article states that French airport operator Groupe ADP and DSNA Services are working together on a system designed to detect drones in areas where they shouldn’t be. The Hologarde system uses radio frequency, radar and high-definition video to detect drones within a distance of five kilometres.

DSNA Executive Director and current EMBA student, Stéphane Durand talks up the safety aspect of the project and the technology, saying that, “Hologarde is a drone detection solution that incorporates innovative technologies within a single control centre suitable for all users.” This first phase is about upping the reliability; the next step is to move on to industrial-scale development and the deployment of a countermeasures system.
