Desautels MBA students place third in social business case competition

Desautels MBA candidates Tiffany K. Ellis, Kelly Gonzalez, Garima Singh, and Meghan McCoubrey placed third at the recent Creative Shock Case Competition. Initially competing against 600 teams globally, the Desautels team travelled to Vilnius, Lithuania from November 26 to December 2 to compete as one of the top 10 finalists in the social business case competition.

Desautels MBA student takes top spot at Deloitte case competition

Congratulations to Âé¶čAV student Yuan Chu Zi Lao (MBA’21) on her first-place win at the recent Deloitte Impact Case Competition. The competition kicked off at the Deloitte offices in Montreal on November 22, where eight teams were formed, and the case was presented to students. Yuan was grouped with Âé¶čAV engineering student Dante Nesparoli and HEC MontrĂ©al students Thao-Anne Le and Felicia Élise Ngoma.

Alumna appointed CEO of major cannabis pharmaceutical company

Dr. Toni Rinow (MBA’06) has taken the reins of Pivot Pharmaceuticals, where she will drive expansion in key cannabis markets in Canada, the U.S., and the EU. Dr. Rinow brings to the table more than two decades of finance and business experience in the healthcare industry.

With a doctorate in physical chemistry and 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, Dr. Rinow is well-positioned to drive global expansion in key cannabis markets in Canada, the U.S., and the EU.
