Julia Scott FCPA, CFA, MBAa Senior Faculty Lecturer in Accounting joined 鶹AV in 2000. AsDirector of the GCPA (Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting) Program, the program for students pursuing their CPA designation, from 2010-2020 Julia oversaw the transition inaccounting educationfrom three professionaldesignations to the CPA. She served asa member of the Ordre of CPAs of Quebec Comité des programmes de formation professionnelle during that period.Julia teaches Advanced Financial Accounting andFinancial Statement Analysisin the B Com program, various courses in the GCPA program, andin the Mini MBA in the 鶹AV Executive Institute.She has been teaching for more than 30years at the university level both at 鶹AV and previously at Bishop’s University.
Julia is the author of numerous textbook supplements; Test banks, Instructor’s Manuals, On-line Learning Centres; for texts in Introductory and Advanced Financial Accounting.
An active member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute Julia is a consultant to the Curriculum and Education area in the development of on-line materials for candidate programs and was a grader of CFA exams for many years.
Prior to teaching, Julia worked in Toronto with the Toronto Dominion Bank and obtained her CA (CPA) with Ernst & Young (Clarkson Gordon).
