Sujata joined the Faculty in 2005. She is the Co-Academic Director of the International Masters Program for Managers (IMPM), and has previously served as the Director of MBA Strategic Initiatives.听 From 2011-2016, Sujata served as the Academic Director of the MBA and PMBA Programs.听 Prior to this, she has worked with the Boston Consulting Group and Citibank.

She has taught Corporate Finance I and II, Applied Corporate Finance, International Finance, Derivatives,听Investment and Portfolio Management, Global Investments, Microeconomics, and International Business to Undergraduate, MBA, PMBA, MBA Japan, and EMBA participants.

Sujata was the recipient of the Featherstonhaugh Family Foundation Distinguished Teaching Award for Undergraduate Programs for 2021-2022.听 She won the 2021 Academy of Finance Excellence in Teaching Award and was awarded the prestigious 3M National Teaching Fellowship in 2020.听 In addition, Sujata was named amongst the international list of Favorite Professors of the MBA Class of 2019听 by Poets & Quants.听 At 麻豆AV, she received the Principal's Prize for Excellence in Teaching for 2011 and was awarded the Desautels Faculty of Management MBA Core Teaching Award in 2019 and the Distinguished Teaching Award at the graduate level in 2016, 2015, 2014, 2012 as well as in 2008. She was voted Teacher of the Year for 2007 by the Management Undergraduate Student Society.

Sujata has also taught in Spain, France, Abu Dhabi, Denmark, Germany, Russia, Singapore and India.
