Dianea Phillips, BEd’85, was 40 years old when she experienced her first zero-gravity flight.

This book is one of the outputs from his SSHRC funded research into contemporary blackface in Canada.

Education Alumni Philip Cutler in the Media
Teacher turned mission-driven entrepreneur, Philip Cutler (B.Ed.'13), was featured in interview with two media outlets this past week. As CEO of Paper, Philip used his transferable skills as a classroom teacher to establish an on-demand online tutoring service. Paper has supported 3,000,000 students throughout the United States and will be collaborating with 鶹AV Education on research in the EdTech field.

Education Alum Gerard Lewis Receives Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence
Gerard Lewis, a graduate of 鶹AV's Concurrent B.Ed. and B.Sc. Mathematics (Class of 2004) was recently awarded Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence for igniting the love of learning. The award recognizes Gerard's exemplary teaching practices and his dedication to supporting teachers. Part of the Toronto Catholica District School Board, Gerard is the Mathematics Facilitator, Kindergarten to Grade eight.

Participation entails three 45-minute walks per week (in downtown Montreal) for a total of 4 weeks, with weekly online questionnaires. Participants must be: currently registered as 鶹AV students; aged 18-25; fluent in English; and owning a working smartphone with a data usage plan.

Dr. Ian P. Levy, Dr. Michael Lipset and Mr. Timothy Jones invite you to participate in a research study that they are conducting. The purpose of this study is to assess the abilities of school counselors to identify ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors in the language of youth; i.e. Hip-Hop. Enclosed is a fun and interactive survey wherein you will be asked to listen to a student's song and assess the degree to which, if at all, a variety of educational mindsets and behaviors are present.
