This course is an update in dementia management for providers of direct care. Through plenary sessions and interactive workshops, some of the basis for dementia care will be reviewed but practical applications of case finding, diagnosis, treatment, communication between professionals, competency and management of behavior disturbances will be emphasized. Each workshop session will be approximately half hour duration.聽 Registrants will be able to participate in all 6 workshops. The emphasis in the workshops will be the working out of clinical examples with ample opportunity for questions and group participation.
