Careers in Precision Health: Facts and Snacks

Healthy Brains, Healthy LivesÌý²¹²Ô»å / have come together to offer graduate students a series of two seminars dedicated to precision health and professional development.
Speakers from both industry and academia will share their experience and provide insights on the different ways precision medicine is applied in various fields. They will discuss their own professional paths and offer different career-development perspectives on precision health and medicine. The presentations will be followed by Q&A and networking sessions with the guest speaker(s). Refreshments will be served.Ìý

Catherine Argyriou, PhD—Postdoctoral Fellow | Â鶹AV Department of Human Genetics
Catherine’s research centres on developing drug and gene therapies for rare disease, with a focus on retinal gene therapy to improve vision in peroxisome disorders. She has extensive experience forming and maintaining academic and industrial collaborations, coordinating multiple project arms, directly supervising and training students/employees, and fostering relationships with patient networks. In addition to holding multiple awards and grants, Catherine won venture capital investment for one of her projects, which she is now developing towards commercialization
