Improving participation in sexuality for Canadians with disabilities through implementation science and health professions education
LOUIS PIERRE AUGER is an occupational therapist (Université de Sherbrooke, 2013) and has workedÌýas a clinician for more than five years in intensive functional rehabilitation with clients withÌýneurological health conditions, especially individuals with stroke. He completed a master'sÌýdegree (2019) and a doctorate (2023) in rehabilitation sciences at the Université de Montréal onÌýthe subjects of sexuality, neurology, knowledge translation and improvement of clinicalÌýpractices. Mr. Auger is doing a postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Aliki Thomas at theÌýInstitute of Health Sciences

Title: An Exploration of Differential Item Functioning (DIF) on the Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses (CELBAN)
CATHERINE AUGER-MORINÌýis a 4th year medical student at Â鶹AV. She completed her bachelor degree in Chemistry at Lake Forest College, Illinois USA where she also played soccer. She has always had an interest for education, whether it was through coaching, private tutoring, peer teaching, or being an Ultrasound instructor. She looks forward to working with Prof Wagner on their project focusing on Differential item functioning in the Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses (CELBAN) to continue optimizing student’s opportunities.
Goal of the project:
Investigate the extent to which certain test items in the Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses (CELBAN) differ across participants based on their lengths of residence in Canada and location of nursing school as a proxy measure for the level of familiarity with Canadian culture.
