In January 2019, the MSSI co-hosted their first joint event with the Â鶹AV Office of Sustainability (MOOS). This was an opportunity to showcase the various ways Â鶹AV is addressing sustainability through research and practice. MSSl-supported students presented their latest sustainability research on topics of indigenous food sovereignty, solvent-free biofuel production, the sustainability of Master-Planned Cities and the socio-economic implications of Montreal's Pink Line metro proposal. MOOS Sustainability Project Fund recipients demonstrated the projects that are making the Â鶹AV campus and community more sustainable. Over 100 students, faculty and staff attended the event at Thomson House. You can read a recap of the event .
