Leading Remotely: What matters now?

Wednesday, June 3, 2020 15:00to16:00

For Managers and Supervisors.

Organizational Development hosts:Dr. Jean-Nicolas Reyt, Assistant Professor, Desautels Faculty of Management, 鶹AV

As People Managers and Supervisors many of us have found ourselves catapulted into “remote work”. We strive to apply what we “knew before” and to stabilize our new virtual workplace - all the while anticipating an eventual return to our work site. Despite our best efforts – it is hard to secure a timeline or even a vision of our future workplace. Assumptions about “working from home” have been challenged over these past months. We are learning that we can’t control how people work, yet we want them to stay engaged, positive and productive.

Join Dr. Jean-Nicolas Reyt as he shares his expertise on telework and invites us to reflect together on short and longer term challenges, opportunities and impacts. How can our approach today, serve to lay a positive foundation for our future workplace? What matters at this juncture, and what IS within our control?

You’ll benefit from timely insights into remote work, and have opportunities to share in meaningful exchanges with other supervisors and the OD team (presentation & breakouts).
