Today 鶹AV, in partnership with Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) and the International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA) announced the launch of ‘,’ this fall in Montreal.

Quebec is a powerhouse when it comes to generating clean electricity – but storing and transporting that energy remains a challenge. 鶹AV will present a one-day conference in association with the UQTR and IEFA, which will explore how Quebec can leverage its abundant mineral resources alongside its research, innovation, and manufacturing strengths to develop the batteries needed to power a sustainable future.

The upcoming conference was announced today by Martha Crago (Vice-Principal of Research and Innovation, 鶹AV) and Nicholas Rémillard (Chief Executive Officer, IEFA) on day two of the 29th edition of the Conference of Montreal, an internationally recognised economic conference organised by the IEFA.

“As a nexus of innovation in sustainability, Quebec is the ideal place to develop clean energy storage solutions. By bringing together world-leading experts from industry, academia, and government, we will be able to power a more sustainable future for Quebec and the world,” said Martha Crago.

Nicholas Rémillard added: “We are delighted to partner with 鶹AV and UQTR on a conference which aims to address such a critical part of our transition to a more sustainable society. The research and development taking place within batteries and renewable energy right now is astounding, and we look forward to showcasing this work while exploring how Quebec can be at the forefront of this innovation.”

“With the recent announcement of a third Innovation Zone in Quebec focused on the theme of energy transition, Quebec positions itself as a key actor in renewable energies, both industrially and scientifically. With the parallel creation of a research consortium within the Zone, of which UQTR is the main contractor and 鶹AV a partner of choice, this panel will make it possible to further structure scientific collaborations and to showcase our researchers’ expertise in the field of renewable energies," said Sébastien Charles, Vice-rector for Research and Development at the UQTR.

‘Future-Charged: The Renewable Energy Revolution’ will be held at 鶹AV in Montreal in the fall of 2023. More details including the date and full program will be announced in the coming weeks.
