UPDATE - Â鶹AV advisory against non-essential travel to Mainland China

As you know, Â鶹AV is closely monitoring the current outbreak of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) which originated in Wuhan in Hubei province, China. The Government of Canada’s to Mainland China remains in effect.

Update:

On March 2, 2020 travel advisories for , and (specifically the provinces of Aosta Valley, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino-Alto Adige) were upgraded to . The Office of the Deputy Provost (Student Life and Learning) has recalled Â鶹AV students from these areas.

If you are in one of these areas presently:

Consult the Government of Canada’s for the most up-to-date information. For your own safety and that of others, I strongly urge you to leave the affected area as soon as possible.

If you have plans to travel to these areas in the coming weeks:

I strongly urge you to make alternative arrangements. Similarly, should you choose to continue with your travel plans, you will be placing yourself and others at significant risk.
