Falconry probably began on the Steppes of Asia BC and may be one of the oldest hunting sports in the world. In 2010 falconry was officially recognized as part of world human cultural heritage. It has evolved through ages and is now used to control pest birds and animals in urban areas, landfills, commercial buildings, and airports.
