2023 Lavigne-Smee Visiting Lecture
Ìý
The Lavigne-Smee Visiting Lecture was established in 2016 by the School of Physical & Occupational Therapy with a bequest received from Mrs. Charlotte Lavigne, DipPT 1959 and a gift made in memory of Mrs. Willie Ruben-Smee, DipPT, 1965. This fund enables a researcher or knowledge-holder to come to the School, to give the Lecture and to meet with students (graduate and professional), as well as faculty members to discuss new research collaborations.
Prof. Tatiana Ogourtsova, Assistant Professor PhD, OT erg will present a talk entitled, "Remember why you started."
Prof. Ogourtsova will provide an overview of her journey. She will discuss different research projects that were completed, ongoing, and are in preparation, with a focus on why and how these projects originated and were conducted, and what is their impact. Tatiana will also highlight the use of knowledge translation and patient-oriented research strategies in her work.
