Project Title: "Exploring conservation practice and meaning in Olkiramatian and Shompole group ranches, Kajiado County"
Geographic Focus: South Rift of Kenya
Project Description: I am working with two Maasai communities whose management practices in many ways represent 'successful' community-based conservation. I am interested in the particularities that have led to this, as well as community perceptions and understanding of conservation as a livelihood strategy and as a way of life.
