Overview
The Education for Arts Students Minor is a great opportunity to follow your passions and interests in the聽arts while developing聽your skills as an educator.聽
This program聽will give you a solid footing in the basics of pedagogy and聽could聽act as聽a starting point towards a B.Ed. degree.聽You will take courses on the philosophy of education, policy issues related to education, equity and education, and more.聽聽
This minor聽doesn鈥檛聽qualify you to enter the teaching profession, but it serves as an excellent introduction to issues in education聽while聽you聽pursue聽your interests within the arts.
Careers
While the Education for Arts Students Minor does not allow you to聽start聽teaching聽right聽after graduation, it will聽provide聽you with the tools to become an effective educator.聽You can apply your knowledge to community work, advising, and more.聽Some students enjoy the program聽so much, they聽continue on聽to a聽B.Ed!聽
