Overview

In the Italian Studies program at Â鶹AV, you will study the traditions and great classics from Italian history, and gain an understanding of the complexity and diversity of contemporary Italian culture.ÌýÌý

The role played by Italian civilization in the shaping of Western values, taste and world view can hardly be overstated. Italy is a country with a rich history and many dynamic industries, particularly in high-profile areas like fashion and design, gastronomy and manufacturing.ÌýÌý

Beyond culture and tradition, you will build Italian language skills through a rigorous language-training program. You can take courses in Italian literature, both in the original Italian and as translated to English, as well as Italian film. Upon graduation, you will have gained knowledge of both a new language and culture that will serve you both personally and professionally.ÌýÌý


Careers

In an increasingly globalized world, knowing how to speak multiple languages is an incredibly useful skill that can serve to strengthen your career prospects. You may also wish to pursue further your study of Italian language and culture at the graduate level.
