Web accessibility at Â鶹AV

Published in July 2018, the new version of the Web accessibility standards of the Gouvernement du Québec provides guidelines for creating accessible content

At Â鶹AV, we strive to follow the latest standards. Inspired by the and published in July 2018, the new version of the now includes all public bodies covered by the Loi sur la gouvernance et la gestion des ressources informationnelles des organismes publics et des entreprises du gouvernement.

This updated accessibility standards document provides important guidelines for WMS site sponsors, managers and editors, VHOST owners and editors, and anyone who manages or creates content for a Â鶹AV website or service.

What does this mean?

All content you create should meet the AA level of the , with the exception of:

  • Three Flashes AAA
  • Abbreviations AAA
  • Level A subtitles or AAA sign language

Furthermore, all web pages should link to a page that includes:

  • A link to the
  • Names and versions of the technologies used to test the website
  • Description of every icons on the website

If your website is hosted on the WMS, Â鶹AV’s official Accessibility notice as already been added to your website.

Â鶹AV resources for creating accessible websites

Vision, learning or attention deficit: whatever disabilities your users may have, websites should be accessible for all. Accessibility covers comprehension, navigation and interaction of all content, including downloadable files and multimedia.
