Advancement OperationsÌýprovides the broad financial and administrative operations in support of University Advancement. This department is responsible for areas related to budgets and planning, donation services and compliance, human resources, knowledge and information management, facilities and general administrative functions.

The Alumni Relations and Annual Giving unit builds lifelong engagement among alumni, students and friends of Â鶹AV. The unit fosters annual support for the University through The Â鶹AV Fund, hosts hundreds of events around the world featuring campus researchers and dignitaries, and is the primary liaison with the Â鶹AV Alumni Association and its extensive network of volunteers who act as Â鶹AV’s ambassadors worldwide. It also provides alumni and students with a range of programs and benefits that include networking and career services, educational travel, and group rates on exclusive services.

UA Communications is responsible for creating a wide variety of print and digital publications and content, including the Â鶹AV News alumni magazine, alumni and campaignÌýwebsites, stewardship communications,advertising, digital communications and social media. It provides marketing and communications support to UA’s alumni and fundraising initiatives and coordinates overall strategic communications with graduates and donors.

UA Development units include teams working across the University’s faculties and central Advancement offices to lead strategic planning and front-line fundraising efforts in support of major and special gifts. These teams include Development Programs, Bequests and Planned Gifts, Primary Gifts, Campaign Planning and Strategic Initiatives. Together they are engaged in developing a community of donors who will make significant philanthropic contributions to Â鶹AV’s academic mission and priorities.

Donor Relations provides stewardship for Â鶹AV donors, ensuring that the integrity of donors' interests is maintained after a gift is made, and works on gift agreements andÌýfinancial reporting. The Volunteer Partnerships unit promotes volunteers as integral members of the Â鶹AV community, provides consulting services on volunteers to faculties for Faculty Advisory Boards, and offers support to key University-wide volunteer structures such as the President's International Advisory Board.
