Major Concentration in Anthropology (36 credits)

Completing a major in anthropology at Â鶹AV gives students the chance to take a wide range of courses across anthropology’s subfields. Anthropology majors receive training in anthropological methods, theories and topics in cultural anthropology, medical anthropology and archaeology. Majors will be introduced to a range of current debates in the field—such as the place of religion in Quebec society, the role of biomedicine in defining the limits of the human, and the importance of our archaeological past to who we are today.

There are no prerequisites for admission to the Major Concentration in Anthropology. Students must complete 36 credits in anthropology across all course levels. Students should pay careful attention to the prerequisites for upper year 300, 400, and 500 level courses.
