Library notices to faculty and staff: Â鶹AV Email Address will henceforth be used
Published: 22 August 2007
To better serve faculty and staff, beginning August 22, 2007, the library will simplify the way in which it sends notices for recalls and items due.
In general, library notices will now automatically be sent to active Â鶹AV Email Addresses. Please note that, as a result, it is no longer possible to enter any email addresses manually into your library account.
- If you have an active Â鶹AV Email Address (firstname.lastname [at] mcgill.ca) all library notices will be sent to this address, even if you have manually entered a different email address into your library account.
- To activate your Â鶹AV Email Address, go to the Â鶹AV Email Address web page for information about how to set up and use your Â鶹AV Email Address.
- If you are not sure about the status of your Â鶹AV Email Address, contact ICS Customer Support online or by phone at 514-398-3398.
- If your Â鶹AV Email Address account is inactive and you manually entered another email address into your library account before August 22, library notices will continue to be sent to the non-Â鶹AV email address account, unless your Â鶹AV Email Address account is activated. to your library account to check which email address the Library has on file for you.
- If you do not have an active Â鶹AV Email Address and have never entered an email address in your library account, the email field in your library account file will be blank. In this case, library notices cannot be sent to you via email. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to activate your Â鶹AV Email Address.
