We invite prospective graduate students interested in human rights or legal pluralism to apply for an O'Brien Fellowship. This Fellowship Program is an entrance scholarship. Applicants for this scholarship must also simultaneously submit an application for admission to one of our graduate programs by the stipulated deadline. Students who are currently enrolled in the LLM or DCL program at Â鶹AV are not eligible.

Professor Richard Gold has been appointed director of the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy (CIPP), effective 1 September 2020. He will take over from Professor Pierre-Emmanuel Moyse, who served in the role since 2011.

Professors Marie-Eve Arbour (Laval) and Lara Khoury (Â鶹AV) invite Law students in the BCL/LLB, LLM or DCL programs to submit a proposal for a scientific contribution to the above seminar, which will take place June 6-8, 2018, in Sacacomie, Quebec.

The selected students will have the opportunity to present their work as part of this seminar and to benefit from the mentorship of participating researchers from six countries.

Professor CrĂ©peau, who was honoured for “his research and contributions to international law and for his efforts to promote civil rights, particularly with respect to refugees,” joins the prestigious roster of Â鶹AV Law community members appointed to the Order of Canada.

Â鶹AV’s Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism (CHRLP) is currently accepting applications for:

  • a twelve-month clerkship at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA);
  • a ten-month clerkship at the International Court of Justice (ICJ);
  • a nine-month clerkship at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR)

All three clerkships are due to start in September 2018.
