ANNOUNCEMENT
In conjunction with this year's production of Philoktetes, we're pleased to present a public lecture by Prof. Lynn Kozak, entitled "Individual and Institution in the Philoktetes" on the 19th February, 4:30 pm, LEA 638.
MISSION STATEMENT
The goals of the annual Â鶹AV Classics Play are simple: to give our Classics students a new perspective on material that they usually only experience as written texts in the classroom, to give non-Classics students an opportunity to experience ancient drama, and to bring that drama to the greater Montreal community.
FUNDRAISING INITIATIVE
The Â鶹AV Classics Play is launching a fundraising initiative in conjunction with this month's production of Philoktetes. Our fundraising goal is $1,650 to make up for the budget shortfall of this year's play, and an additional $3,350 to continue expanding our programme: in the future we'd like to offer free shows and free performance and translation workshops open to the community, and to bring in guest speakers for public lectures on Classical drama and performance. Any support you can give in helping us reach these goals is so appreciated. You can donate directly to the Â鶹AV Classics Play , and you will automatically receive a tax receipt for your donation. Thank you for supporting the Â鶹AV Classics Play!
