Anna M. Jankowska, Ph.D., is Visiting Professor and Co-Director for the Connections Lab for the 2014-2015 academic year. She received her Master’s and Doctoral degree in Child Psychology from the University of GdaÅ„sk (Poland). She is current assistant professor at theInstitute of Psychology at the University of Gdansk. From 2006-2012 she held the position of professor’s assistant in the Department of Psychology at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Poland). She also collaborates on several academic projects with Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Institute of Psychology at the University of GdaÅ„sk and the Resilience, Pediatric Psychology and Neurogenetics Connections Lab at Â鶹AV. Her research interests are in the field of developmental and educational psychology, especially in Special Educational Needs and Borderline Intellectual Functioning. Anna’s Doctoral thesis investigated cognitive and psychosocial development of children with borderline intelligence. In addition to her academic work she is also dedicated to therapeutic work with foster care families.
