YCTTR-FES Translation Entrance Examination - French/English to Spanish Option

As one of the steps for potential admission to the Translation program, applicants must complete and successfully pass an Entrance Examination. The exam tests participants’ preparedness for translation studies in the languages used by the program. Entrance Examination results are valid for one year. Students can only write the test once per session. The test result will be available 3 to 4 weeks following the exam date and will be mailed directly to the student.

Classes will provide instruction in listening and speaking at a basic level. Workshop content, including grammatical structures, phonetics and situational vocabulary, is aimed at helping the students acquire the basic communicative skills required to operate in simple everyday and work-related settings.

Workshop content, which includes grammatical structures, thematic vocabulary, functional expressions and oral communication techniques, is aimed at helping the students develop the communicative and linguistic skills required to operate effectively in a variety of situations related to the profession.
YCWFR 008 YCWFR 008 - Advanced French for Medical Purposes
This workshop is designed for advanced French language level participants.

Classes will include the study of specialized vocabulary & expressions for healthcare purposes, grammatical structures in context and strategies to improve on communication skills specific to this level. The classes focus on the application of advanced language notions through situational role-play to develop and consolidate aural and oral communicative skills related to work-related contexts.
