Rachel Langevin

Rachel LangevinDr. Langevin, psychologist, is an Associate Professor and William Dawson Scholar in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, Â鶹AV. She holds an FRQ-S Chercheur Boursier Junior 1 award. She is a regular researcher with the Centre de recherche sur les problèmes conjugaux et les agressions sexuelle (CRIPCAS), the FRQ-SC Team Équipe Violence Sexuelle et Santé (EVISSA), the Centre for Research on Children and Families (CRCF), and the Institut Universitaire Jeunes en Difficulté (IUJD), as well as a co-investigator with the Canadian Consortium on Child and Youth Trauma (CCCYT). Dr. Langevin’s work is funded by several of the major funding agencies in Canada and Quebec, including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Fonds de recherche du Québec. Her clinical expertise involves working with anxiety, complex trauma, and other trauma-related disorders in adults. She still has a private practice. Her main research interests are in family dynamics and understanding mechanisms involved in the intergenerational continuity of child maltreatment and family violence.
