Becoming a dentist in Canada

A Dental Medicine degree does not automatically give students the right to practice dentistry. In order to practise in Quebec, candidates must successfully complete the comprehensive examinations held conjointly with the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) and the Ordre des dentistes du Québec (ODQ), and meet the French language requirement for professionals. Candidates who wish to practise elsewhere in Canada must also successfully complete the National Dental Examining Board Virtual OSCE Examinations.
