Dear first-generation students,

Welcome to Â鶹AV, where you join a vibrant community including students, alumni, staff, faculty, and administrators who were also the first in their families to attend university (1st-Gen).

We are impressed by the hard work, determination, and independence that have landed you at one of Canada’s best universities! At Â鶹AV, we want 1st-Gen students to flourish. We understand some of the particular challenges you may face during your studies and want to provide the support that you may need. A host of resources and student services are available to you as you embark on this journey. Please know that these resources exist, and that our goal is to make your transition to university life at Â鶹AV as smooth as possible. We are so excited that you are here!
