The Graduate Internship Program for Engineering and Computer Science (GrIPECS) is dedicated to helping bridge the gap between graduate students and industry.
An internship in engineering or computer science is a temporary placement in a workplace that may be part of an educational program. It provides graduate students with an opportunity to gain experience and develop new skills during their studies in a particular field outside of academia.ÌýStudents gain awareness of typical requirements and the degree of competitiveness for the hiring cycle in different sectors.Ìý
A graduate internship ranges between four to eight months on either a full-time or part-time basis with advisor support. This time must be taken during one’s graduate studies after the completion of one'sÌýfirst semester.Ìý
Graduate engineering and computer science internships are paid work, financed by either the host organization or the Â鶹AV Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (GPS) funding unit or by a combination of the two.
