Value & Duration
- The award value is $6,000 per unit of travel
- Unit of travel duration must be of 12-24 weeks
- Possibility for awardee to have 2 units per academic lifetime, units can be held consecutively or independently (at different times)

Applicants must be:
- Master鈥檚, PhD, Postdocs and Senior Undergraduates
- Travel to one of the 听
- Travel duration must be of 12-24 weeks per unit of travel. Students are allowed to apply up to 2 units per academic lifetime. These units may be requested consecutively, or at different times.
- Trainees cannot travel to a country where they hold citizenship unless they also hold Canadian citizenship or are Canadian Permanent Residents.

Globalink Intention to Apply
- Submit the completed and signed form to GPS for pre-selection by the deadline, to this email address: fundingapplications.gps@mcgill.ca. The form must have the Faculty Associate Dean's signature.
- Pre-selected candidates will receive instructions and forms to continue their application to Mitacs directly. This will include the Research Funding checklist. The final decision is made by Mitacs.
- FRQ Scholarship holders that are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada must also submit the . This form must be signed by your supervisor.

The program supports travel and research between Canadian universities and universities and institutions in certain countries. Please visit the for the list of countries and partners.
- The supervisor must be a recognized faculty member at their institutions and eligible to receive Tri-Agency funds
- The supervisor must be eligible to host graduate students
Pre-selected candidates receive Mitacs application package and instructions to complete and submit their application by the deadline. Please note that you must be approved by Mitacs to receive the award. GPS pre-selection is not the final approval.
Please note the following regarding the OSR checklist in the application package:听
- The supervisor is responsible for completing and obtaining signatures on the OSR checklist
- The application will be reviewed only after听signatures from the Dean and ADR are provided on the OSR checklist
