- The is a dynamic and very active student organization that facilitates and provides excellent programming for all students interested in Indigenous health issues.:
- There are many mentorship and support initiatives for Indigenous students within the Faculty of Medicine. Indigenous students have access to a range of services and support to ensure success in their respective programs and to flourish in the community. Looking forward, interprofessional mentoring programs are in development.
- In the MDCM program, Indigenous students are linked with individual mentors.
- The Ingram School of Nursing offers the Nursing Peer Mentorship Program
- The School of Social Work offers mentoring through Indigenous Access Â鶹AV.
- The First Peoples' House Cousins Program offers peer mentoring to all Indigenous students at Â鶹AV.
- Indigenous Health Research mentorship and research support is offered via the

Social life
The beginning of the fall semester is marked by the Welcome Dinner which brings together the IHPP’s partners and current students with those students incoming into the different Health Professions Programs. It’s a chance for new students to meet, mingle and connect with students and mentors alike.
