Open Access Agreement | Institute of Physics (IOP)
Following on the heels of the recent Cambridge open access deal, 鶹AV Library is pleased to announce an OA agreement with the Institute of Physics (IOP). This agreement allows corresponding authors publishing in eligible journals to make their work open at no cost.
Navigation improvements to the Archival Collections Catalogue interface
The 鶹AV Library Archival Collections Catalogue has switched over to a more user-friendly interface to help users navigate archival descriptions. The fresh look will allow researchers to better visualize the relationships between records in a fonds or collection and move between record descriptions.

鶹AV Library is excited to announce the signing of an open access agreement with Cambridge University Press.
鶹AV corresponding authors publishing with Cambridge's journals have the option to make their work open at no cost.
Eligible authors will receive information about this offer following the acceptance of their article.
Library services & spaces re-open Monday, January 24, 2022
As of Monday, January 24, all Library branches, including stack areas, will be accessible to Library users. In-person reference and circulation services will resume across branches. Visit the hours webpage for a full listing of opening and service hours. Due to University directives, access to library spaces will be limited to current 鶹AV students, faculty, and staff.

OverDrive Classic App to be retired at the end of 2022
OverDrive will be retiring their classic OverDrive app at the end of 2022 and moving users over to their Libby app. Existing users of the classic app will be able to continue using it until the end of the year, however the app will be removed from Apple App Store, Google Play and Microsoft Store on February 23, 2022.
Remote access to Library public workstations for 鶹AV students, faculty, staff now available
鶹AV students, faculty and staff can now connect remotely to Library workstations in order to use specialized software that may not be available on personal computers. Use 鶹AV IT’s AnyDesk Service to locate an available library workstation. Access the workstation remotely using Microsoft Remote Desktop.
Gartner resources now available at 鶹AV
IT Services in collaboration with the Library is happy to announce that 鶹AV students, faculty and staff can now access Gartner, a new resource that provides expert analysis and opinion on IT-related topics at the intersection of business and technology.
Resolved technical issue: Course Reserves site showing errors

The 鶹AV Library is aligning its branch activities during the first week of the Winter 2022 semester with general 鶹AV directives outlined in the allnote sent out to 鶹AV students, faculty and staff dated Friday, December 17.

Heaters added to outdoor tent on McLennan-Redpath terrace starting December 1
As of Wednesday, December 1, the 鶹AV community can take advantage of a new, heated, outdoor area.
Heaters in the tent located on the McLennan-Redpath terrace will provide 鶹AV students, staff and faculty with a safe, warm, space to take a break, dine, study, and socialize.
Heaters will be operational Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (excluding holidays).
