Bayesian evidence synthesis: the limits of re-purposing existing public health data for population size estimation.
Vivian Meng is a PhD candidate at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Â鶹AV. She is currently under the supervision of Professor David Stephens, working in the area of Bayesian inference in non-identifiable models. Vivian received her Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of British Columbia. There she worked with Professor Paul Gustafson on estimating the size of hidden-populations. Vivian received an honorable mention for the Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship from the American Statistical Association in 2014.
