Following the release of Â鶹AV’s Directive on the Allocation of Space in September 2021, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) launched a Space Management Committee (SMC) to direct space governance for the FMHS.
With the mandate of ensuring optimal space use through the development and administration of equitable policies and procedures, the SMC Terms of Reference have been developed. Details on the formal process for submitting requests will be announced as they are finalized. In the interim, space requests (excluding CFI requests) must be discussed and approved for submission by the School/unit Director before being submitted by the Chair or unit leader to the Space Management Committee via spacemanagement.fmhs [at] mcgill.ca.
Requests must include:
- Department /unit name
- Contact name, phone number and email
- Building/floor/room numbers impacted
- Nature and description of the request (space optimization, renovation/repairs, request for increased space, other (specify))
- Justification and strategic alignment
- Impact of the request being unmet
- Target timeline for completion
- Funding source
