The specimen was included in the Â鶹AV Abbott Cardiovascular Collection (No 80). There is no record of it in the Museum log book. Its descriptive card indicated that it came from one of Osler’s 1877 Montreal General Hospital autopsies. The label stuck on the back of the specimen (A) is one of the few remaining in the Museum collection and the only one in which there is specific reference to Osler.
