麻豆AV

This form is required for all students who plan to participate the 麻豆AV Symphony Orchestra, 麻豆AV Wind Orchestra, 麻豆AV Contemporary Ensemble or the String Quartet Seminar for fall or winter term (even if you are exempt from the audition). This audition will also be used for your small ensemble placement.

Strings:

• Violin, viola, cello: The placement audition for large ensembles is mandatory for all new incoming students (undergraduate and graduate, except D.Mus.), including former students who are returning for a new degree. All other violin, viola and cello students only need to take the audition if they want to be considered for principal positions.
• Double Bass: The placement audition for large ensembles is mandatory for all new and returning students. (Undergraduate and Graduate, except D.Mus.).

• Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion: The placement audition for large ensembles is mandatory for all students who wish to register for a large ensemble

If you are not able to attend the live audition, please contact the ensemble office as soon as possible to receive instructions for recorded auditions. In order to submit a recorded audition, you must provide a valid reason for your absence and have it approved by your department.
