Molecular and Systems Neuroscience of Cognition Symposium - Honouring Karim Nader

Monday, August 22, 2022 15:30toTuesday, August 23, 2022 17:00
Montreal Neurological Institute 3801 rue University, Montreal, QC, H3A 2B4, CA

The Molecular and Systems Neuroscience of Cognition Symposium is in of honour Dr. Karim Nader.

Dr. Nader has made fundamental discoveries that have transformed the memory field - most significantly, he found that memories can be erased. His original publication on this subject, which has more than 2000 citations, changed the way we think about memory formation and retrieval. Dr. Nader’s work has also lead to the development of new treatment for cognitive disorders, specifically for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The symposium program will incorporate discussion time, active facilitation of participation by young scientists and trainees, as well as unstructured time between scientific sessions for in-depth, spontaneous discussions. We will have a poster section and 4 young speakers will be selected among the submitted abstracts for a short-talk.
