Talk Abstract

The COVID pandemic demonstrated dramatically that science can save lives and that misinformation is literally deadly. Yet we’re exposed to more misinformation, at a faster pace, than at any time in history. Researchers, policy makers, publishers and journalists have been adapting to our new information infrastructure and finding ways to try to amplify knowledge and outcompete nonsense. This lecture will share the current state of science communication, how researchers and clinicians and policymakers can participate in it more effectively, and how everyone can help improve the signal to noise ratio in the world.
