A Brilliant Success
A Brilliant Night raises $1 million for brain cancer research
A Brilliant Night raised an astounding $1 million for brain cancer research at its gala event on Oct. 19.
This sum tops the inaugural A Brilliant Night in 2015, which raised an impressive $690,000. After a successful silent auction, falling just short of the $1 million goal, a generous donor stepped up to generously help hit the mark. Through exciting interactive and immersive installations, the event also helped educate and raise awareness of brain cancer and the importance of the research which leads to better treatments to battle the disease.
The evening was filled with personal stories from those whose lives have been affected by brain cancer. Among them was Madeleine Paquin, event chair of the A Brilliant Night honorary committee and President and CEO of Logistec. Paquin lost her husband to brain cancer.
“This year’s A Brilliant Night 2016 was a wonderful success which really built on a great start last year. This money will go to fuel The Neuro’s efforts to make breakthroughs in the field of brain cancer research,” she says. “I would like to thank everyone who donated to our cause, and the sponsors who make this event possible.”
