Project Description:Ìý

This project aims at implementing landscaping elements of a neighborhood plan developed for the Farm at the Macdonald campus.

Project scope:

This project aims at implementing landscaping elements of the neighborhood plan developed for the Farm at the Macdonald campus. This project will require coordination with the Cattle Complex Rehabilitation Project (20-061), the Centre of Excellence in Agriculture (20-058) and initiatives within and around the Old Farm facility.
This project includes the following work packages:


Lot 1 - Demolition - Removal of fences, bushes, a manure pit, a lean-to structure, fuel tanks & contaminated soil, modifying & reinforcing the ruins, to render the East Courtyard safe for visitors.


Lot 2Ìý- New Access Road & Parking Lot - A new road will be built to service the new CEA building located to the South and East. This is for compliance with the building code for road access (firefighters). The new parking lot will replace the existing one north of the Aviation Museum. It will accommodate approximately 70 spaces for regular vehicles and a few spaces for buses.


Lot 3Ìý- East Courtyard - This is to render the East Courtyard usable for visitors; adding walkways, grass and lights.Ìý
