The beautiful Victorian interiors of the Redpath Museum offer a unique setting for conferences and events related to the Museum's educational and cultural mandate. Booking your event at the Redpath Museum will directly help and support our educational program and initiatives as well as the care of our collections.

During our regular operating hours, only our Auditorium is available for reservation as the rest of the Museum (Entrance Hall and Galleries) is used by students, groups and visitors.

After hours, the Entrance Hall, Galleries and Auditorium are available for booking.

Kindly note,Ìýthe MuseumÌýcannot provide an event planner. Coordination and planning of your event is the responsibility of the organization.

Filming requests

All filming requests must go through ²Ñ³¦³Ò¾±±ô±ô'²õÌýHousing and Conference Services. Please visit their page and contact them directly for any inquiries.Ìý

Rental information

Fees

Minimum booking fees will apply to all requests. Kindly note, our team will prepare an estimate upon reception of a completed Booking Request Form only, as we need all of the required information in order to prepare a quote. Incomplete forms will lead to additional delays.

The following mandatory fees will also be included with all after-hours bookings of our facilities:

  • Administration and Rental Fees
  • Porter and Security services
  • Museum staff is required on site for a minimum of 4 hours for all events that take place after hours. The number of staff on-site will be adjusted based on the number of guests attending your event and the room requirements.

These services will be booked by the Museum and follow museum and university guidelines.

Aditionnal Fees

An additional fee will be levied for any items left behind at the Museum after the event. It is the event organizer's responsibility to fully clear the area of all items related to the event.

Alcohol and Beverages

Student-run events must read the information on theÌý prior to sending their booking request. This includes having requested and received the permit from La Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux as well as havingÌýcompleted a Server Training Session and being registered through Healthy Â鶹AV. Requests submitted without any of these documents will be refused until they are complete!

Non-Â鶹AV organizations must contact Â鶹AV Events to inquire about the procedure to obtain the appropriate permits.

Catering services

Kindly note only a standing cocktail can be considered for your event. No food preparation is allowed on-site. Food and beverages authorizations are given on a case by case basis to ensure the security and safety of our space and collections.

A representative from your organization must be at the Museum to receive food, drink and catering or event supplies, the Museum will not accept responsibility of receiving your supplies.

It is the responsibility of the event organizer to clear and pick-up any material used during the event (eg. catering, audio-visual/ auditory material etc) and leave the space as it was upon arrival. Additional fees may apply for items left behind after the event.

Audio-visual

All audiovisual equipment in the Redpath Museum Auditorium is under the responsibility of Â鶹AV IT Customer Services (ICS).

Please ensure to add any and all relevant information related to your AV requirements in your Booking Request Form, including any requests you have made to ICS.

Capacity

  • The Auditorium has a maximum capacity of 80 guests
  • The Teaching Lab has a maximum capacity of 30 guests

**Academic Bookings (scheduled classes) for the Auditorium and Teaching Lab (Room 106) take precedence over all other bookings, with priority for the Auditorium given to courses that require videoconferencing.

  • The Entrance Hall has a maximum capacity of 25 guests
  • The 2nd floor Gallery has a maximum capacity of 100 guests

Land Acknowledgement
